Ljubljana maintains strong growth

Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport has extended its growth streak into May by handling 167.257 passengers, representing an increase of 14.4% on the same month last year. The number of aircraft movements stood at 3.228, up 1.7%. The strong growth was fuelled by Adria Airways which has launched seven new routes since late March. Overall, during the January - May period, Ljubljana Airport welcomed 654.411 travellers through its doors, an increase of 15.4%. Movements were up 3.1% to 13.687, while the amount of processed cargo stood at 5.032 tons, up 9.1%. Airport operator Fraport is currently in talks with several carriers over the introduction of flights to the Slovenian capital.

      Me too. I hope LJU gets close to 2 million passengers this year. If not 2 then at least 1.8.

      Ljubljana will do over 1.9 million. Not sure if it'll do 2 million, but it'll be very close.

      Next year Adria is expanding a lot, I expect Adria will do 1.3 million pax this year, it is also getting three additional CRJ900s, for total fleet of 17 aircraft. Adria could do 1.5 million pax next year from looks of it.

      Next year Ljubljana could do 2.2 million pax.
      2020 - 2.5 million pax. Hopefully they expand the terminal add 4 additional jetways increase the airport terminal capacity to 5 million pax. 2030, Ljubljana could have 5.5 million pax.

    Yes, happy for Fraport, but the infrastructure is at the size for an aeroclub.
