NEWS FLASH

Adria Airways will wet-lease a Saab 2000 aircraft to Swiss International Air Lines this winter season. The fifty-seat turboprop will be utilised on Swiss' Lugano - Zurich service. As previously reported, Adria is negotiating several wet-lease ACMI contracts, whereby the Slovenian carrier provides its aircraft and crew to another airline. Swiss previously operated the Lugano - Zurich route with a wet-leased Bombardier Dash 8 aircraft from Austrian Airlines.

Excellent move. Adria is truly a solid, regional carrier.

Yep fantastic. They cancel an average of two flights per day and are combining flights. Today Ljubljana-Sarajevo-Pristina-Ljubljana, Ljubljana-Warsaw-Prague-Ljubljana. Truly solid.

And they canceled also DUS and OTP already today. Let's look closer on Saab operations: so far the two operational saabs operated only 24 flights. 2 of them have been on time and all others delayed. Last Saab operation was on Friday last week and there is nothing on schedule for today or tomorrow. Unfortunately it's still a big mess...

so basically they are gonna fly the same route (ZRH-LUG) with the same plane (Saab 2000) but not as Darwin anymore, but as Adria.

Adria is still providing good service for LH group. But what is described here is an appalling service for LJU passengers.

They should first take care of their of their scheduled flights and only then do charters and wet-leases for other airlines. It's outrageous that they cancel their own flights because lack of aircraft while flying those same aircraft for Austrian/Swiss etc. I just hope they learned something from this summer season and that the cancellations stop in the coming winter season.
