Emirates in biggest EX-YU recruitment drive

Emirates will be hiring cabin crew from Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Slovenia and Montenegro over the next four weeks. The recruitment drive involves seven cities in the five countries.

Emirates will host an open day in Zagreb on November 28 at the Westin Zagreb (Izidora Kršnjavoga 1) starting at 08.00 local time. This will be followed by a recruitment event in Dubrovnik on December 21 at the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik (Marijana Blažića 2).

In Serbia, the Middle East's largest airline will host an open day in Belgrade on December 1 at the Falkensteiner Hotel (Bulevar Mihaila Pupina 10K) starting at 08.00. On December 26, it will hold an invitation only recruitment event in the Serbian capital, which requires interested candidates to register online, after which they will be invited to attend the recruitment process.

On December 4, Emirates will be hosting an open day in Skopje at the Marriott Hotel (Plostad Makedonija 7) at 08.00.

In Slovenia, the carrier will first hold an open day in Maribor on December 5 at the Hotel City Maribor (Ulica Kneza Koclja 22), followed by Ljubljana on December 7 at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel (Bratislavska cesta 8). Both events will start at 08.00.

Finally, Emirates will be hiring Montenegrin cabin crew in Budva on December 23, with the venue for the open day yet to be announced.

Crew requirements at Emirates include: at least 21 years of age at the time of joining, arm reach of 212 cm while standing on tiptoes, high school graduate, fluency in English (written and spoken), no visible tattoos while in Emirates uniform and the applicant must be physically fit to meet crew requirements. Those interested must bring with them their CV and one photo. If all requirements are met, final interviews will be scheduled over the course of the same week. Benefits of working as Emirates crew include an approximate average monthly pay of 2.115 euros, layover expenses, free accommodation in Dubai, staff travel benefits, one firm free annual leave ticket to the country of origin and thirty days of annual leave.

    It would be interesting to know how many persons from single exYu countries are working for Emirates. I guess many because flying Emirates I always hear a familiar language, even pilots have familiar surnames:)
