Sarajevo Airport has seen its passenger numbers improve in October following a slump the previous month. Bosnia and Herzegovina's busiest airport welcomed 83.660 travellers through its doors, representing an increase of 3.6%. The number of aircraft operations stood at 1.118, up 2.1%. During the January - October period, Sarajevo handled 930.965 passengers, an improvement of 9.5%. Aircraft operations were up 5.3% to 11.659. Late last month, Sarajevo Airport commenced the multi million euro expansion of its terminal building which is scheduled for completion in October 2020.

Even bigger airports like ATH charge 12€!
I do hope that they do not lower their "fees".
DeleteIt is one of the very rare public companies we have that do not stage a big drama every year to receive new money from the government; they even pay the terminal expansion on their own!
all airports here look very close to each other and the claim is that budgets are tight here; but people showed rather limited willingness (as in one or two minbus per day) so far to go to Tuzla or Banja Luka to get some cheaper flights there...
That is a short term “vision”. Limiting arrival of new carriers just because airport is financially sustainable is not smart. With more flight and tourists economy would benefit greatly not only covering losses of Butmir airport and not even mentioning benefits of cheaper flights for citizens
