NEWS FLASH

Ryanair has unveiled its eighth and final new route to Zadar for next summer season. The carrier will introduce two weekly flights between Eindhoven and the coastal city starting April 1. The airline previously announced it would launch eight new routes to Zadar during the summer of 2019, with the other seven being Krakow, Poznan, Bergamo, Cologne, Hamburg, Nuremburg and Prague. All will operate on a seasonal summer basis. The new routes are being launched in cooperation with the Croatian National Tourist Board. It will result in overall growth in the airline's operations to Zadar by 50% with over forty weekly flights to be maintained to the city. Despite its growing network, Ryanair will close down its seasonal base in Zadar.

Flight details for the new Eindhoven - Zadar service can be found here.

This means there is no real market for these flights, it's just an easy way for Ryanair to make money ;)

Distortion of the market at the expense of the taxpayers. Better to pay for more OSI flights.

Highly doubt it, even this year when they had ok flights their numbers slipped.

its not the lack of demand, the strikes in summer 2018 at rynair were the reason the numbers are slipped a bit. without the strikes 2018 would be a record year

This is not good news for the other regional airports that want to reach the top 10 list:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_busiest_airports_in_the_Former_Yugoslav_Republics

ZAD is most likely to beat even SJJ in figures next year.
Also PUY is clearly outta the game.

Can´t wait for the final scores this year.

First of all I am very happy with these flights and think its long overdue. And that the Netherlands should have been connected to Zadar a long time ago. But how are they going to operate this since the base in ZAD will be closed this summer and the base in EIN was closed in November?

hmm... intresting, maby they will come back to ZAD or EIN with new signed contracts

So it must be a W pattern. If you're interested just check which flight arrives at EIN 25 mins before the ZAD departure and leaves 25 mins after the arrival from ZAD on the applicable weekdays.

Već sada u zimskom redu letenja imamo let STN-EIN-TSF-EIN-STN. Veoma verovatno nešto ovako ili slično će biti i sa Zadrom.
