NEWS FLASH

Air France will introduce seasonal flights between Paris and Split this year, making the coastal city its third destination in Croatia following Zagreb and Dubrovnik. Flights will run three times per week between July 16 and September 1 with a mix of Airbus A318 and A319 aircraft. It follows the introduction of seasonal services to Dubrovnik last year, which will be maintained up to five times per week in 2019, up from two weekly services, representing a 150% increase in capacity between the two cities.

Flight details for the new Paris - Split service can be viewed here. The French carrier will compete directly against Croatia Airlines and easyJet on the route.

...and then some people said they won't have 10% growth next year. :)
SPU will have between 3.4 and 3.5 million.

Schedule doesn't offer many international connections so I am sure this is mostly for locals. I am sure flight will be daily in no time.

Why not? The route has proven to be very successful in DBV! Doesn't have to be daily, but I'm sure they will increase the number of flights.

It's better for Split to be even better connected with European destinations than to push for intercontinental flights.
When certain improvements to the airport are made then wide body airplanes will come naturally and that will be the icing on the cake and SPU will finally overtake ZAG

DBV was "a service for two Months" last year too. Only a year later it is the whole saeson and up to 5 times a week.

Like DBV SPU will have 2 daily EZY to CDG/ORY 1o weekly Transavia to CDG and lots of charters + now AF.

Next year we might see AF daily to DBV and SPU.
