NEWS FLASH
FlyBosnia's Airbus A319 aircraft performed test flights over the weekend, with the jet circling around Sarajevo and Tuzla for training purposes. The airline is still awaiting regulatory approval to commence revenue flights but is expected to be given the go-ahead by Bosnia and Herzegovina's Directorate for Civil Aviation soon. According to the "Klix" portal, the start-up will perform several trial flights from Sarajevo to Mostar and Banja Luka once it is awarded an Air Operator's Certificate (AOC). The newly established airline currently has some twenty cabin crew personnel and eight pilots in its ranks. FlyBosnia has been set up by Saudi Arabia's Al Shiddi Group and initially plans to link Sarajevo with Riyadh before expanding its network to include other points in Europe and the Middle East.
I love how they baptised the Airbus as Sarajevo. That's a nice touch, indeed.
ReplyDeleteLivery slightly boring, but still the blue belly compensates. If they added yellow, then it would really be much better.
Before august this will all be over, again :)
ReplyDeleteif you know the future tell me which number to play for "loto" :p try to do something is better than just critizise, what do you thing bro?
DeleteTipicni kriticar sa ogranicenim kapacitetima...ovaj gore FSX i tako to
ReplyDeleteIts very un logical / dumb that Riyadh is there first destinations. Why not Europe? Most tourist who are traveling to ex-yugoslavia are from Europe. A missed opurtunity

DeleteIt's not dumb, their owner is from Saudi so it's easy to promote and Sarajevo has many tourist from that region. They have hotels that are adjusted to that type of visitors.
DeleteToday local portal write about getting licence for FlyBosnia by BHDCA. They write that FlyBosnia planing to establish flights to: Riyadh, London, Jeddah, Frankfurt, Stockholm and Amsterdam. The first commercial flight is expected on January 31st

there is no type of visitors and it's not very smart to build/create places for just a type of visitors a country should be attractive to all type of visitors, and yes also visitors from the Middle East but it was a lot smarter to start in Europe.
ReplyDeletepeople traveling to Bosnia are not always interested in Sarajevo. I live in The Netherlands and many dutch people would love to visit Bosnia (Sarajevo and mostar espacially) but Bosnia has no destinatons to big capitals of the EU( Amsterdam, London etc. Also Bosnia is located in Europe that's an other reason to fly to Europe to represent the country and the airline. Bosnia is a beautifull country and i think it has to be exposed to Europe too. And yes i know you can travel to Tuzla for European destinations but Sarajevo is the capital and a big avarege of people know Sarajevo and they do not know Tuzla
FLYBOSNIA will be the shining star in the aviation horizon with several aircraft in its' fleet soon. Bosnia is the hidden gem of Europe with great people, great food and great tourist attractions. All the best wishes to the entire team, they have done a great job to finally reach this stage and now start the airline. All our prayers and best wishes to FLYBOSNIA team and the people of Bosnia!
