NEWS FLASH

Montenegro Airlines has introduced new uniforms for its cabin crew members created by the UK-based Montenegrin designer Boris Ćalić. The new uniforms are made up of a crisp navy skirt suit with golden traditional motifs for female crew accompanied by a foulard which denotes seniority depending on its colour. The male uniform is comprised of a navy suit, vest and blue tie. "The idea behind Montenegro Airlines' new visual identity was to display the richness and beauty of our national dress in a modern and clean way, which is in line with my aesthetics: fine lines and a crisp cut which complements the body without too much detail", Mr Ćalić explained. He added, "The navy colour complements the golden embroidery which is based on the Montenegrin national dress. This was the right choice because Montenegro Airlines' cabin crew are the first contact each passenger has with our country's culture. Therefore, I wanted to display our cultural richness through that initial contact".

All cabin crew members now sport the new uniforms which were introduced on board on January 1. Last year, Montenegro Airlines also launched a new look website, which features a more contemporary look and clearer structure, as well as a personalised experience, easier navigation and improved functions.

Their previous uniforms were nice but I like their new ones too. They also have a great livery.

It looks quite old fashioned to be honest, more like a costume than a uniform. Also quite sexist how the male version is very plain, at least make the tie colour match the female uniform. Thumbs down, sorry.

I am really amazed at this. Companies with huge debts (YM, AZ, ...) focusing on important things. Uniforms.

Because people choose their airline based on crew uniforms.

Looks good but if they really wanted to focus on traditional dress why not do something like this?

The embroidery on the ladies uniform reminds very much of the eastern Hercegovina traditional ladies dress: http://www.riznicasrpska.net/likovnaumetnost/index.php?topic=32.0

Sorry but NO. Bad. Not connected to brand colors in any way or to aviation whatsoever. Many airlines ruined uniforms and style of aviation and MGX have just joined that club. Shame, they always had nice uniforms.
