Macedonia's two international airports, Skopje and Ohrid, handled a combined total of 160.424 passengers in January, representing an increase of 6%. This is despite the number of aircraft movements declining 2.2% to 1.363. "We can safely say that 2019 will be another busy year for Skopje and Ohrid airports, in relation to passenger growth", Nejat Kurt, TAV Macedonia's Airports Operations Coordinator. said recently. Wizz Air will begin its major expansion on the Macedonian market next month as it begins to launch the first of its eight new routes from the country.
