TRIP REPORT: Croatia Airlines, Dubrovnik - Zagreb

TRIP REPORT | INDEX

I went to the airport by car which took me some 30 minutes down a beautiful road that runs along the coast. Dubrovnik Airport's terminal is modern and new. I did not have any luggage so I went to the automated self check-in machines to complete the formalities. The machines are used by several other airlines as well.

All the gates are located on the upper floor, as well as immigration and security. Despite the long lines, things moved quickly. Once I cleared security I headed towards the gates which are exclusively used for domestic flights.

The airport is not too big but it is bright and offers great views of the tarmac. There is also a duty free shop and a cafe in the departures area.

I had a coffee and soon after the gate was opened. However, once you pass the first boarding check you find yourself in the gate lounge, which filled up very quickly.

Our aircraft arrived, an Airbus A319 registered 9A-CTI featuring the Star Alliance livery.

The seat pitch on board is relatively good and better than the A320 I had on the way back. The crew was busy in the small business class section by handing out welcome drinks and newspapers. Shortly after, the screens folded out to play the safety demonstration. We then took off for a fifty minute flight, as announced by the captain.

Since it is a short flight, the crew quickly started service, which comprised of a single cup of water for everyone. Meanwhile, the screens were playing some tourist video, although there is no sound.

Descent was announced shortly and soon enough we were on the ground in Zagreb. We disembarked the plane quickly with the cabin crew giving us all a smile. Overall, a pleasant and short flight.

    2. Dubrovnik is very nice after renovation.

    3. DBV already invented 150 million euros in the 1st phase, what you can see on these pics is the 1st phase. 2nd phase of the DBV Airport means another ,even bigger terminal. But this DBV airport looks stunning though.

    1. You gotta be able to read before even ask questions, let me quote some parts of this article for you "I had a coffee and soon after the gate was opened. However, once you pass the first boarding check you find yourself in the gate lounge, which filled up very quickly. So here is the answer of ur question & up front there is a pic which shows that the structure of the pax is different.

Purger, it says that the gate filled up but that soes not mean the flight was full. It depends what the size of the waiting lounge is. So Your malicious comment makes no sense, sorry.

    3. There is a picture in this article which shows there were bunch of ppl & clearly the plane was fully. It's not about the plane having 200+seats. It's a high quality article w so many pics taken at the same time, trust me you can find the all answers by just reading it. Sorry for being malicious lol.

I went to that picture and actually counted the people there and there are around 60 to 70 passengers pictured which would mean LF was around 50%. So yes, you are being pointlessly malicious but that's very typical of you.

    5. Yes, I am sure LF was 50 %, actually most likely much less, because from ZAG at that time they didn't have possibility to transfer to Air Transat and Emirates, hahahaha haha, and it was exclusively for P2P passengers and they would be even less if the service was not heavily dotaded and that's why both ZAG and DBV just opened brand new terminals because planes between the two fly empty LOL LOL LOL

      You are delusional.

    7. Same anonymous as yesterday who trolls on every topic from Croatia and after the reaction offends and labels people without any argument. If I am delusional, you are seriously sick and should look for help. Happy now?

So me asking if the flight was full is me trolling? Are you for real now?

      Delete
    9. Even the same wording!!! Are you for real? I am for real and you was not asking was it full but saying LF was 50%, based on people you counted on the photo. So I ask now are you for real?
