NEWS FLASH

Croatian ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, insurance) specialist Trade Air has put one of its Fokker 100 jets, registered 9A-BTD, up for sale. Airstream International has been exclusively mandated to seek out a buyer. The 27-year-old aircraft is said to be competitively priced, EASA compliant and available for delivery during the fourth quarter of 2019. Trade Air has been in operation since 1994 and currently operates two A320s, as well as two F100s. Furthermore, it wet-leases a Let L-410 Turbolet for public service obligation flights within Croatia.

I flew from PRN to FRA with this Aircraft some weeks ago. I thought it was in good shape and really enjoyed the flight.

Why are they selling F100? High fuel and maintenance costs? Are they switching completely to A320?

A320 CASK cost of aircraft seat per kilometer in great aircrafts ex 737-800/A321/A320 in some tecnologies or equal to diminute comparable "small" jets EMB 190, A319, 737-700. Another reasom: insurances, spare parts and rotable, is to dificult to maintenance and negotiate. Regards from Brazil.

As much as I didn’t enjoy flying this old fokker on random JP routes, their cabin crew is much easier on the eye than JP’s own :D

Let me put it this way : It is not uncommon for the cabin crew which is "very easy on the eye" to not react properly to the demanding and /or irregular situation, even creating panic, while majority of cabin crew which is much "heavier on the eye" will act accordingly and concentrated when you and the others are at (potential) risk. As long as your criteria for evaluation of the cabin crew remains "weight on the eye", you are not welcome to this blog, if I am asked. And the same goes about your evaluation of TDR 's F100 : despite its age, it is very comfortable, reliable, well-maintained, fast and the most spacious in its class aircraft, much better than majority of as well old and claustrophobic JP CRJ' s. So for your post, from me : sjedi jedan.

Može netko objasnit što znači "easy on the eye"?
Inače slažem se. Za mene osobno je CRJ najgori avion, barem mlazni, koji se u ovom trenutku koristi. SSJ je luksuz za njega

Pa valjda da li su simpatične ili nisu :) ili - nice, cute, charming... :)
Regarding CRJ, recently, after a long time, I flew one on short 50min route and comparing to ATRs that is absolute luxury :)
As a interesting fact, it was Scandinavian Airlines, operated by CityJet, wet leased from Nordica :)
