Montenegro Airlines registers record passenger numbers

NEWS FLASH

Montenegro Airlines welcomed 466.500 passengers on board its aircraft during the January - August period, representing an increase of 2.5% on last year or an additional 11.382 travellers. In August alone the carrier handled 105.101 passengers. Since its foundation in 1994, Montenegro Airlines carried 9.5 million travellers. “Despite some issues relating to inherited debts, which is a matter being resolved with the relevant ministries, existing operations have been stabilised, despite some major challenges on the market. Excellent business results are being achieved and an innovative commercial strategy is being finalised, which will define the company’s development over the next three to five years in terms of its destination network and fleet structure”, the airline said. It added, “As a result, improved business results will be achieved and, most importantly, an even greater number of passengers and tourists from various parts of Europe and the world will visit Montenegro”.

    Well done !
But they should not let take JU take away their home market .
JU flies three times daily to TGD while YM only flies twice -
next summer they should start a daily additional flight !

Not gonna happen, long are gone the days when JU was passive in MNE so that YM can survive. Next summer JU will have even more flights to MNE.

I wish OU would open there eyes and look at the success of LEJ-TIV and open LEJ or DRS to SPU. It's not like Germany only consists of a North, West and South, well not anymore since 30 years! Plus Eastern Germans were always more into spending their holidays in CEE countries historically. Plus there is also some (unserved) diaspora.

Well for a start they could reduce some flights to MUC/FRA and compensate with flights to LEJ. After all charters is where they make serious money. If LH needs more seats then they can increase their own capacity.
