NEWS FLASH

Montenegro Airlines handled 657.276 passengers in 2019, representing an increase of 2% on the year before. It added an extra 12.457 travellers, marking the busiest year in its 25-year history. During 2019, the number of flights increased 2%. Montenegro Airlines recorded growth on almost all of its destinations compared to 2018, ranging from 3% in Belgrade, 10% in Paris, 25% in Rome, and up to 37% in Ljubljana. The company held a 25% passenger share in Montenegro, competing with some fifty carriers operating scheduled and charter flights to the country. “We are particularly pleased to have achieved record results in the year we marked 25 years of operations. Montenegro Airlines has carried more than 9.5 million passengers since its establishment. In the last three years alone, we handled around 1.87 million travellers, with a total contribution to the state economy of more than half a billion euros, of which nearly 100 million euros have been disbursed to the state budget. In addition to achieving record business results in 2019, I would like to outline, among our key business achievements, the recognition received from the Embraer aircraft manufacturer for the exceptional schedule reliability of our fleet, amounting to a 99.85% on-time performance. Furthermore, we have introduced modern software for sales and revenue control, as well as the so-called 3D Secure standard for secure online purchases. We have modernised the appearance of our cabin crew by unveiling new uniforms with traditional Montenegrin folk costume motifs. Following current environmental trends, we also abolished the use of plastic cups on all our flights”, Živko Banjević, Montenegro Airlines’ said.

Awesome figures, especially LJU with the whopping +37% increase!!
I also like the abolishing of the plastic cups, something to be proud of showing you care for the enviornment.
Finally,it is worth mentioning that the reviews can be a bit better on TA:
