NEWS FLASH

Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport registered its busiest start to the year, in January and February, prior to its closure as a result of the coronavirus Covid-19 outbreak. The airport welcomed 759.874 travellers during the first two months of the year, up 14.6% on the same period in 2019. At the same time, aircraft movements grew 7.9%. The airport’s March figures are expected next month. Belgrade Airport closed for all commercial traffic on March 19.

At least the start of the year was good. I'm sure the end will be as well.

Belgrade will go back to thriving soon.

Bravo Beograd!!!

Is February slower because of one less day?

It's the slowest month of the year for aviation globally.

BEG should be happy to have 3.5 million this year with all the cuts and collapsing demand all around.

Can't wait for the airport to become active once again.

Full restart as of July hopefully

Wonder how many pax BEG would have had if there was no coronavirus in 2020, especially how well things started out, plus the new routes announced for this year.

I think by the end we would at around 6.8 or 6.9.

7.125 easy.

In that case, all Croatian airports should be happy if they reach your pessimistic figure in total as the tourism aviation sector will crash and burn. Of course, everything will partly rebound in June.

By the end of the year Croatian airports will not drop by more than 10%

Vucic said tonight that he hopes the state of emergency might be suspended at the end of month. Hope that in may we start getting flights to certain destinations.

By the end of the month the only thing that might end is curfew. The travel ban will likely persist for a few more months, for certain places even longer.

Agreed. As soon as covid-19 is declared defeated, and a few more months pass, just to be on the safe side. And about a year or so passes to catch up.

I am confident Belgrade will be the first to bounce back in a region.
By far the city with the greatest potential.
BEG will reach 10 mil. easily within a few years.

I do agree with yours coment. To 2025 Belgrade airport
wil over 10.000.000 passengers. VINCI hard working to achieving that result. Life will be returned to airports.
