NEWS FLASH

LOT Polish Airlines will be adding new flights to Ohrid and Tivat next month. It comes after the airline outlined plans to launch thirteen new routes to Croatia.

The Polish carrier will commence a seasonal three weekly service between Warsaw and Ohrid starting July 5. Furthermore, it has brought forward the resumption of its Warsaw - Skopje route to July 3, which will initially run on a reduced basis of two flights per week. Details for the new Warsaw - Ohrid service can be found here.

In addition to the new seasonal Poznan - Podgorica service reported yesterday, the carrier will also commence summer flights between the Polish capital and Tivat. Operations will commence on July 5 and run twice per week. Further details can be found here.

It seems like they are expanding in the region like Wizz did recently. They are also launching Warsaw/Gdansk/Katowice- Tirana (TIA) service.

Wizz also just announced a big expansion similar to Belgrade in Varna. Maybe SKP or OHD are next?

Don't count on it since SKP flights are all currently being rescheduled to accommodate 4 aircraft operation instead of 5.

@11.35 unfortunately Wizz doesnt care about the (macedonian/serbian) - bulgarian tourist market

632,902 Serbian tourists in BG. 609,591 Macedonian tourists in BG in 2019
514 959 trips of Bulgarians in RS, 429 329 in MK in 2019

low cost BEG/SKP-Varna shouldnt be a problem to fill plus OHD-SOF/Varna in summer

That's a decent number of tourists and imagine mainly using car most likely so if an air connection is secured, it will be be much more. Unfortunately JU gave up on both OHD and VAR. OHD-SOF/VAR 2-3 weekly would work out very well. I agree.

it seems like LOT doesnt care about transfer pax this summer. Its mainly O&D to holiday places already popular by polish travellers

Lot has just cancelled my flight to Munich. No reason provided. No rebooking done after several days since my request. I understand that the reason is that Lot is now doing a "flight for holidays" action. Work related flights will be after the holiday season. This is back to the Polish communist past from the 1950's. We have "actions" and an on-going political interference. I will never again fly by Lot.
