NEWS FLASH

Mostar Airport did not record a single passenger or aircraft movement in July. The airport has been hard hit by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic with Eurowings and Croatia Airlines suspending their operations to the city. Charters carrying religious pilgrims from Italy have also been halted this year. According to the airport’s new management team the “situation could not be any worse”. State subsidies allocated to the airport for this year have been blocked after a number of irregularities with past spending was noticed by authorities. The Federal Ministry for Transport and Communications is suing Mostar Airport over the matter.
