Norwegian suspends Zagreb service

NEWS FLASH

Norwegian Air Shuttle has discontinued its seasonal service between Copenhagen and Zagreb until further notice. The airline will not resume the flights this summer season and is yet to schedule operations on the route for next year. Norwegian has previously also flown between Stockholm and Zagreb, however, the route was discontinued following the 2018 summer season. As of last year, the airline’s operations between Copenhagen and Zagreb run only on a seasonal basis rather than year-round as was the case before. Croatia Airlines continues to serve Copenhagen from Zagreb.

Great, looking forward to being ripped off by OU and their mostly Q400 service. I live in Copenhagen and I wish there was a MMX-ZAG flight on Wizz.

    1. Same here. That's the worst OU route. Hands down.
They had gotten better for a while with regional jets, but now they're back to their old Dash service

OU is almost bankrupt, they were on life support for many years now. Either kept alive by state aid or the sale of assets. They can't afford to change something now on this route.

I thought Norwegian went bankrupt in Denmark so that they have no crew based in CPH...? If they have to use crew from OSL when flying from CPH and all the complexity that brings, it makes sense for them not to fly new and untried routes.

The warning, which comes after Austria recorded 57 new cases among people returning from Croatia within the last 24 hours, is effective from Aug. 17, the ministry said.

I think they will either have to provide a PCR or go into quarantine.

Not really since its August 15th and the number of tourists visiting Croatia is going down, so there will be no problem. Of course the tourism will suffer, but not in the same volume if this happens on August 1st.

I had to check the system because I couldn't believe it. Seems like it's true, no LH flights until summer 2021. :(
