Macedonian airports eye rapid testing for all passengers

Macedonian airports are considering creating travel corridors with European Union member states by introducing rapid testing for all departing passengers. Operator TAV Macedonia is currently working on the proposal with authorities. The majority of Macedonian nationals are banned from entering the European Union. This has significantly impacted on demand with both Skopje and Ohrid airports mainly linked to EU member states.

    Impressively forward thinking, even by west Europe standards. Hopefully this idea is successful, the industry needs this sort of pioneering to move on from the pandemic.
