Swiss International Airlines has delayed its resumption of flights between Zurich and Ljubljana for a third time. The route, which was to be restored on May 1, has now been pushed back until June 3. Planned frequencies have also been reduced from daily to four weekly. Further changes remain possible. Despite not operating any scheduled revenue flights to Slovenia since March 2020, the Slovenian government selected Swiss as one of a handful of companies to receive subsidies for the upkeep of its Ljubljana service, with the grant valued at over 22.000 euros.

My recommendation is that each airline picks one day of the week and operates only on that day to LJU, so that the airport management doesn't get confused with more than one aircraft on the apron.

ReplyDeleteWell if you are trying do something and it keeps on failing then you gotta change your approach/strategy. LJU should focus on destinations that might stimulate traffic and Dubai via AUH seems like the right fit if they can't get FZ.
DeleteDon't worry, they are in talks with a "small regional airline" about basing an aircraft in LJU.
ReplyDeleteOn top of that, did you all forget that Slovenia is the ONLY country affected by covid and senseless restrictions ? Let's not forget that before starting to bash Skobir and Krasnja.
