NEWS FLASH

Air Montenegro’s fleet will initially have no markings or livery as the carrier rushes to commence operations by the start of June. The airline’s CEO, Predrag Todorović, said the company’s first Embraer E195 jet, which is currently in Maastricht preparing for service, will have no markings. He noted the selection of a new logo and corporate identity is ongoing. The jet will eventually be painted. Air Montenegro will operate its first flight on June 1 between Podgorica and Sarajevo to transport the Montenegrin football team to Bosnia and Herzegovina for an international friendly scheduled for June 2. Mr Todorović confirmed the first scheduled services will be from Podgorica and Tivat to Belgrade.

    Wouldn't it just have been better to leave the Montenegro Airlines livery and just remove the Montenegro Airlines title or simply the "airlines" part.

    This is going from bad to worse. First they start flying with one aircraft then they get destroyed by JU's number of frequencies, then they decide to fly an all white plane which will make passengers suspicious...

    ...and now we find out that they plan on flying first to SJJ as a charter flight. Seems like they are already looking where they can make money since they can't do it in BEG.

    Liquidation of Montenegro Airlines was a costly mistake. Now MA has been officially closed all its remaining assets are now not available to the new airline ToMontenegro. That includes its maintenance base, tools, equipment, spare parts stock and the third aircraft.

    I wish them all the best, although I believe JU will smash them.

    I enjoyed flying with them except when I had to fly on ancient Carpatair F100 with
    Romanian crew.

    It was always interesting by transfer in TGD that you had to go through passport control officially leaving Montenegro no matter you never entered it before.

      I don't think they expected JU to react like this. They probably counted on them leaving some empty space for them to survive. Finally JU is thinking like a true business.

    I would not fly with them in the first few months because everything seems so rushed that I would have safety concern among other things (canceled flights or delays).

    What about the IATA, ICAO codes and Callsign? They have only two weeks to sort it out.
    It would be weird not to use "Montenegro" like YM did...

    Funnily, MA and MX appear to be both available, according to IATA search (from defunct Malev and Mexicana)

    Probably this is cost cut advice from LH consulting. Suppose next one will be providing mini salt and pepper only on request for passengers buying meals

    OK, but plane livery is just one aspect of airline branding. How their check in desks, boarding passes, luggage tags and website will look like in this interim period?

      Ne za vreme sankcija su bili ofarbani avioni. Bili su beli izmedju 2005 i 2007 jer im je bilo jeftinije da ne boje avione.

      @chelica2
      Nikada nije postojao JAT Airways. Postojao je JAT i Jat Airways. JAT je bio fenomenalna fantasticna izvanredna kompanija. Jat Airways je bio katastrofa, jad i tuga. Jos jednom molim : Ne koristiti JAT za Jat. Naizgled nebitno, ali u sustini nebo i zemlja.
