Eurowings to launch new Zagreb routes

NEWS FLASH


Low cost carrier Eurowings will commence flights from Dusseldorf and Berlin to Zagreb, with both routes having been axed prior to the coronavirus pandemic. Services from Dusseldorf will commence on August 31, and operate twice per week, each Tuesday and Saturday, while two weekly rotations from the German capital will commence on March 28, 2022. The Lufthansa subsidiary currently maintains operations from Cologne and Stuttgart to the Croatian capital.     So that is now 4 routes, any chance for Germanwings starting Hamburg or some other destination in Germany ? Zagreb could see improvements on pre-c0vid in terms of returning airlines and destinations offered. With Ryan Air and all others put in, Zagreb could perhaps hit ~5.5 million passengers in 2025, it seems at least from these early indications.
