PHOTOS: Belgrade Airport's expansion advances

NEWS FLASH

Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport’s expansion is continuing to advance, with work on several projects ongoing throughout the complex. The expansion of the C concourse is continuing to advance with the new air bridges having arrived. They are currently placed in front of the new gates. Furthermore, the construction of a new gallery floor is in full swing above the A concourse gates. As a result, gates A1 to A5 are currently closed. Curbside, work has begun in front of the terminal buildings, which will result in their expansion in order to accommodate a new check-in hall, while construction of the airport’s new control tower is also advancing, with glass panels now being installed on the structure. Work is also continuing on the inserted runway, while construction is also taking place around the airport complex on various projects, including a new energy plant, solid waste processing plants and aprons. The full project can be reviewed here.

theoretically speaking here, but expansion could allow for traffic of 40 million passengers. 27 passenger boarding bridges and additional platform 9 positions allow for plenty room for future growth.

That will be great but it looks they are for now only building a third level link between the C concourse expansion and Terminal 2.

Great news, Germany just removed Serbia from high risk zone so I expect demand to boom.

Who will win the race and be completed first? BEG ATC Tower or Kula Beograd? ;-)
