Low cost carrier Wizz Air will commence a new two weekly service between Hamburg and Banja Luka this December. Flights will operate each Monday and Friday. It marks Wizz Air’s sixth destination out of Banja Luka after the carrier commenced operations from Bosnia and Herzegovina’s second largest city this June. Further flight details can be found here.
Less transfer pax for ASL. This is bad news for Air Serbia.

DeleteWhat transfer pax of ASL? With two tiper per week? What you can catch with that, unless you sleep on airport three days? BNX is underestimate from ASL and there is no any trace od "Special connections"...

DeleteThey fly twice a week between BNX and BEG using an ATR. I’m sure that magical Hamburg transfers in BEG are not in their sights.
DeleteRyanair, Wizzair and Montenegro flights affected very much Air Serbia Transfer from and to BNX. Result, currently there are only two or three flights per week. Before LCC arrivel was 6 times weekly flight to BEG. Timetable of Air Serbia was terrible, for example flight to BNX at 06.45.
DeleteUnfortunately, special connections regarding air traffic between Serbia and Srpska do not function. JU had a few years ago 6 flights per week, this summer only 2. JU is still state owned company.

DeleteWhile Banja Luka is a small market around 600k, JU should have established at least a daily ATR flight.
ReplyDeleteAt least three days in week flights in the morning and evening are necessary. There is lot business needs on daily basis, also help to catch connections.
DeleteI can't believe how BiH has finally woke up from a long sleep and this year doing so well. More Euro destinations and SJJ with much more Gulf carriers. The Arabs love Europe in summer escaping from their oven temperatures. Bosnia is a clear winner this year.
ReplyDeleteIf Bosnian airports continue development this way, soon BiH will be the third busiest ex yu country when it comes to number of passengers annually. "soon" I mean 3-4 years. Currently, only Slovenia is behind BiH.
ReplyDeleteI never really understood why Bosnia has been so behind all these years.. . Four airports with excellent geographical distribution, huge diaspora, 3.4 milion people in the country...yet, all four airports have been performing so modestly.

DeleteYesterday I flew from BNX to BSL. Since Wizzair has sent an A321 a huge mess arose at the airport (too many people for such a small airport). I think the airport would have to expand urgently because otherwise the passengers no longer want to fly via BNX. Think that everything that comes over A320 is too much for BNX.
