NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia has resumed operations between Kraljevo and Vienna for the first time since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020. The carrier will maintain two weekly flights between the two cities with its ATR72 aircraft. Services have so far been scheduled until December 30. “We are glad to be gradually expanding our offer and that we can enable passengers from central and western Serbia access to direct flights to Vienna from our third airport in the country, at affordable prices. Flights from Kraljevo are very important, because they make organising trips easier for our passengers from that region”, Air Serbia’s Head of Sales, Boško Rupić, said. Over the summer the airline maintained seasonal operations between Kraljevo and Thessaloniki.

About bloody time! I was getting tired of having to drive to BEG all the time to catch this flight. Too bad there are no LCC flights from here yet.

    Do they really need this?

    With their lack of aircraft?

There's no lack of aircraft in winter. The summer peak was just that - summer peak. You cannot build your standard fleet based on the peaks. You don't plan your capacity in any business activity based on the peaks. I don't understand how people cannot understand this basic principle.

They say RT ticket cost 80 EUR. That`d motivate me to drive from Belgrade and proceed to Vienna by plane.

they should deal with INI first, they opened 12 routes just to block and prevent LCC's and then they cut 10/12 routes and left us for dead.

I know, I know, pandemic blah blah blah... Well they got the money for "PSO" so they should fly those even empty!

They don't get money for PSO in advance. And why on earth should they fly even emoty? Serbian citizens can't enter the majority of destinations served from Nis without quarantine while some we can't enter at all, vaccinated or otherwise.

INI service is targeting diaspora in the first place and they don't have issues related to entry requirements by different EU states.

Both Nis and Morava need to serve more cities. I am certain this will happen after the pandemic ends. And 80 euros round trip is as a great deal. How much would it cost for fuel one way to drive to Vienna? And then there are the tolls and numerous stops along the way.

I am hire. Waiting to more destinations from Morava in April. As all we know, full and profitable oprtation on Morava Will be after building new 4.000×45 meters ranway. Cargo centers. Include ILS and facilities. And projekated buildings. Military's runway is too weak to aircrafts above fifty tons.
I hope to see proper Morava Airport in next three year. Till than, only small operations with
Turboprops. Profitability come with investment on new Morava International Airport.
