Zagreb Airport to boast fifty destinations this winter

Zagreb Airport will be linked to fifty destinations this coming winter season, which begins on October 31, as Ryanair continues to expand its network from the city. In addition to the nine new routes being introduced by the low cost carrier this December, Eurowings will launch flights from Prague, while Azur Air will commence operations from Moscow. On the other hand, Croatia Airlines will maintain flights on four domestic and thirteen international routes. “A total of nineteen airlines will connect Zagreb with five domestic destinations, and 45 points in 28 countries internationally. We believe that such good links with Europe, the Middle East, and indirectly to other destinations around the world, will contribute to a significant increase in the number of passengers, and, once again, confirm Zagreb as a true city-break destination”, Zagreb Airport said in a statement.

      Yes, but why would slovenia like to support zag if they can give less money to someone (wich sadly they are not going to as we can see anytime soon) to fly from their own country.

    I can't understand one thing, so many new routes and expansion, but no one is flying, i normally flew 3-5 times per year before covid, since covid i didn't come even close to an airport let alone flew out. I am not sure i'll fly next year either, as things are still too chaotic for me to risk it. So my question stands, who is creating demand if most people are staying put?

    2. I flew this year from ZAG to Vilnius, Antalya and Amman and beginning Dec going to Sofia. So some people do fly, and that's why it's very good to see ZAG improving its destination network

    This pie chart is likely to change starting 2022, when FR will definitely increase their market share and OU's one will be further decreased, which is only a very good thing.
    Interesting to see that EW has a larger market share than LH.
