Croatia Airlines launches Osijek international flights

NEWS FLASH

Croatia Airlines inaugurated its first international flights out of Osijek yesterday with a two weekly service to Munich. The service, maintained by the Dash 8 turboprop, will run twice per week, on a trial basis until January 15, 2022. The inaugural service saw 25 passengers depart to Munich, while a further twenty travellers arrived from the Bavarian capital to Osijek. Passengers on board were awarded with discount vouchers. “We decided to commence flights between Osijek and Munich because they will provide good connections to the rest of Europe. This service will be operated on a two-month trial basis, but we are in discussions over a three-year contract”, Croatia Airlines’ CEO, Jasmin Bajić, said. The route is Croatia Airlines’ second new service since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, with the carrier previously introducing flights between Split and Prague over the summer months.

When they receive subsidies they are happy to fly empty.

OMG did they just write on the banner "and land to Golden Land" referring to Germany. I can't. This is so embarrassing.

Golden land is reffered to Slavonia because of wheat fields.

  5. Horrible PR. And launching a new route with a load of 20 passengers?

  6. Just give it a little time to develop. This might be a great service for connecting traffic, finally. Sure, Frankfurt would have been much better for connections and more VFR potential.

  7. Hm, that timing could have been a bit better, having a early morning flight (like 8:35 from ZAG) would have been even better for catching connections.

It seems that there are more managers/directors in the event than the actual passengers. And most probably same goes for the tourist board's traditionally dressed team, there are more of them than the passengers. Užas.

No no, leave OU out of this for once. You are mad and jealous because OSI has year round MUC flights and your small irrelevant airport doesn't. Just give OSI a break

A historic day for OSI in almost winter season. 25 pax means a load factor of 32%, which is still not bad at all given the surging Covid cases.
    Well done, Hrvatska!!
