easyJet schedules and boosts Skopje summer operations

NEWS FLASH

easyJet has scheduled flights between Geneva and Skopje over the upcoming summer season and increased planned frequencies on the route. Initially, the airline was not selling tickets between the two cities for flights between March and October. The budget carrier will now temporarily suspend the service on March 25 until June 3 during the overhaul of Skopje Airport’s runway, after which it will resume two weekly flights between the two cities, doubling to four weekly from July 1.

Great news!! Easy is such a nice addition in Skopje.
This is also news for all those haters that were trolling how the route was not profitable and Easy was about to leave.

All airlines are doing the same. Boosting frequencies in summer and then cancelling them. Check out Blue Air for instance. So, let's wait and see. Still half an year to go. SKP has been quite viotile lately.

Update: Their pricing seeding is obviously off though, they've gone cautious and applied a flat price so I expect these to retract to normal levels for shoulder periods as time passes. So, depending on the time of year, I suspect the rule of thumb that prices will be cheaper the earlier you buy will not apply for some, if not most of these flights. Take your time.

    1. It's only a matter of time.

easyJet GVA and BSL-PRN routes started as twice weekly, soon after thrice weekly, but it took a really long time for the routes to develop and they now each operate as 10 weekly service. Considering that Swiss operates a thrice weekly service from GVA (twice weekly during the very low season) I think the offer is excellent.

I think with GVA-SKP going from twice to 4 weekly services bodes well for further expansion of easyJet in SKP either from GVA or from BSL.
