NEWS FLASH
Croatia Airlines has retired one of its two Airbus A320 aircraft. The jet, registered 9A-CTJ, left the Croatian capital yesterday for Cotswold in the United Kingdom for part out and scrapping. The aircraft, named Dubrovnik, was delivered new to the carrier and was almost 23 years old. It had been parked in Zagreb since mid-November of last year. Croatia Airlines’ fleet now consists of twelve aircraft, including five A319s, one A320 and six Dash 8s, however, one A319, registered 9A-CTH, has been parked in Zagreb since October of last year.
Goodbye my good old friend. You have served us well.

DeleteCannot wait to see the future A220s on the OU livery, which btw was unashamedly stolen by SN Brussels new livery. Bravo Hrvatska!
ReplyDeleteOU getting the A220 is as likely as them getting a brand new B748.
DeleteAnno 11:15, wait and see. The Govt has pretty much wrapped up the deal. If you are here to offer a comment, do make an effort to back it up. Mine is coming from PM office. To be announced in the coming month.
DeleteMy information comes from the Oracle of Thebes, it's as reliable as yours.
DeleteThis was my first A320 in general, when I flew from Zagreb to Paris in February 2000. Farewell and thank you for your first Airbus A320 family experience :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't the lifespan of an A320 more than 23 years? I know it depends on hours flown but still. Figured this bird still has a few more good years.
ReplyDeleteIndeed more, but not when you run out of money probably 😂
DeleteDont understand why 23 year old plane is too old for OU but its not for Trade Air.
Delete@Slk - What do you mean run out of money, you mean to pay the lease?
DeleteTrade Air should have grabbed this plane, probably could have gotten it for cheaps since it is being sent to the chopping blocks.
DeleteThe Airbus fleet has served OU very well over the years. Very safe and reliable. It's time they updated their fleet though!
ReplyDeleteTrade Air soon take another A220, 16 years old, not something like 23:
ReplyDeleteTrade Air nabavlja novi zrakoplov! U floti dolazi još jedan, četvrti po redu zrakoplov tipa A320!
Zrakoplov registarske oznake TF-GOF star 16 godina (MSN 2569) uskoro će ući u flotu hrvatskog Trade Aira.
