NEWS FLASH

Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport has opened one of a number of new facilities as part of its multi-million-euro expansion project. The airport has put into operation its new remote car park which stretches over 36.400 square metres and provides additional parking capacity for passengers (mid and long-term stay), rent-a-car, valet parking and staff parking. Furthermore, it will accommodate taxi drivers who will then be called up to the terminal building upon the arrival of incoming passengers. The car park has the capacity for some 1.500 vehicles, of which 798 will be reserved for travellers, 330 for staff, 265 for rent-a-car and 109 for taxis. The new remote parking is equipped with lighting, video surveillance, electric vehicle charging stations, car wash, as well as a modern access control system. Located east of the existing cargo terminal, passengers who park their cars here will be transported to the terminal building by the airport shuttle bus which will be circulating between the terminal and car park each ten minutes between 05.00 and 17.00, and every twenty minutes between 17.00 and 05.00. The parking costs fifty eurocents per hour, five euros per day or 34 euros for month-long parking.

Epic?? Come on what is so epic about opening a two story facility that is about 300m long? Really not much of construction challenge and nothing not yet see so calling it epic is a joke!

Hey "nothing not yet see", your translation is epic. Quick fact: New ZAG terminal main building is only 150m wide.

This outdoor museum looks fantastic! I hope Air Serbia will give one ATR-72-200 to the Belgrade airport when they will be retired.

Museum is great but it's out of focus both for airport and city. It needs revamp and some coordinating activities with airport and other authorities.

Article says remote parking is in operation with space for valet parking. Is valet parking really in operation and why not use nearby parking for premium valet customers?

How will it be in summer, when its 40° in the shade?
Why are there no roofs with solar panels or trees?

It will be exactly the same as in ZAG. Look at the new parking lot in front of ZAG terminal from the satellite, looks identical to this one.

But the one in Belgrade is not the main parking. It's remote parking.

LCA has a massive parking in front of the terminal and it has no shade. If people survive getting in their car in summer when it's 50 degrees outside then they will be fine in Belgrade.

It has mostly been ploughed over because the road in front of the airport is currently being moved forward. But there will be a smaller car park in front of the car park. There is also a 3 storey garage close to the terminal.

I think it will be a two floor parking (underground level) in front of the terminal. At least that is what it looks like from the current construction.
