NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia and Italy’s ITA Airways have further expanded their codeshare partnership, which commenced last November. As part of the enhanced cooperation, Air Serbia will place its JU designator code and flight numbers onto a number of ITA domestic routes from Rome, including Bologna, Florence, Naples, Reggio Calabria and Verona, as well as international destinations such as Barcelona, Cairo, Malta and Tel Aviv. In return, ITA Airways will place its flight numbers onto Air Serbia’s operations from Venice to Belgrade, as well as from the Serbian capital to Dubrovnik, Pula and Split. In line with their previous agreement, ITA codeshares on Air Serbia flights from Belgrade to Athens, Banja Luka, Bucharest, Ljubljana, Milan, Podgorica, Rome, Sarajevo, Sofia, Skopje, Thessaloniki, Tivat and Tirana, while Air Serbia on ITA services from Rome to Athens, Bari, Brindisi, Genoa, Catania, Lamezia Terme, Palermo, Tirana, Turin, Trieste and Venice. Commenting on the codeshare, Air Serbia’s General Manager for Commercial and Strategy, Boško Rupić, said, “We look forward to the expansion of our business relationship and further development of cooperation with ITA Airways, which has proven to be very successful so far. With the introduction of new codeshare flights, we will further contribute to the improvement and strengthening of cultural and economic ties between our countries, while providing our passengers a more attractive offer and quicker connections”.
