The new strategy of Croatia Airlines - increasing amounts of subsidies from the tourist boards regardless the lack of viable business plans justifying this and many other routes for tourism purposes...

    3. My comment is the following : Two weekly flights on Q400 from once upon the time big, rich and important Croatian city, which had, just for example, scheduled B727 flights to Pula, and those two weekly Q400 to which some here Hail and Bravo, some 20 years too late, and not to its own hub, and thanks to subventions and incentives combined.... Do I need to continue?

Was it one of those rectangle 1x weekly flights? OSI-ZAG-BEG-ZRH-FRA-PUY

    5. JAT Yugoslav Airlines was a giant whose aircraft were flying on scheduled services to over 60 destinations on 5 continents. The company whose office was in Rockfeller Center in New York, on the Fifth Avenue, next to Air France and Lufthansa. The company which was the only carrier, together with KLM, between Dubai and Australia. The only european carrier with scheduled flights to Cleveland. The first european flag carrier to operate at that time new generation B737-300. And so on. And so on. And the B727 flights OSI - PUY were only OSI-PUY, leaving OSI mornings and coming back from PUY evening. And once chauvinists and primitives took over throughout ex-yu, they started making things up, inventing and lying, the same you are doing now, to hide criminal, theft and disastrous results of their policies, od Vardara pa do Triglava. These two weekly Q400 included

Yes, the company who in 1983 was asking passengers for 100 dollars per person, because the dinar was losing value. Never did get this money back. The airline that flew over Zag to Beg (from Toronto), and then left about 70 of us in Beg. Told us we were on our own to get to Zag. The great airline that left us waiting at the terminal for 21.5 hours witout explanation. Now shall I go on.

Oh the good old days of Communist JAT, another company that could not make a profit.

    8. Two of the above posts deserve no comment at all. Adeze bots writing about Communist JAT with 90.000 of their members switching to Adeze from KPJ, and commenting on profit, like OU is filling half of the national budget. Neprocjenjivo! 😃

    9. Also good to know we can fly with OU today from Toronto to Croatia, even if it takes us, once in a while, to Split for example, instead Zagreb, due to fog, wind, accident, ground staff strike... Oh, wait, Q400 can't make it to Toronto, 50 years later! 😃Zivijo Adeze! LOL!!!

Again you talk utter nonsense. OSI is so unimportant in the whole scheme of things. Just look how how those dirt cheap C3 flights are hardly used.

    11. Yes, I talk utter nonsense. Slavonia is rich and happy, not deserted and desperate, OU is the best carrier in the World with such a good marketing that they are not able to sell 19 seaters, and "the whole scheme of things" is something which does not exist as strategy for civil aviation, like for many other things in this sad, robbed and destroyed country

So Pozdrav. I like your response to my comments regarding JAT. First of all, I am not an uhlijeb. I was born in Canada and live in Canada..All mentioned things happened when I traveled with JAT. In 1983 we left Yugoslavia to travel vack to Toronto. The captain told us we had to kand in Shannon for fuel. We landed in Shannon but the authorities in Shannon wanted cash first. The dinar was losing value at a fast rate. The captain announced this, and asked that everyone give 100 dollars, so that the they can pay for the fuel. We were also told that we would get the money back. Guess what, we never did get the money back. This happened on many occa6in 1982 and 1983.Do your research. As said everything I mentioned happened on the occasions when I flew JAT.

I’d rather fly my flag carrier airline and pay additional 100$ for gas to get to Toronto in 1983 and enjoy at least some brand recognition like JAT it back then than use OU and have to transfer to either BA or LH to get there nowadays with possible delays.

Smells like subsidies. Without LH codeshare they should have launched FMM flights in stead, at least they are cheaper.

There are no connections in MUC either, LH did not put its code on those flights.

Yes there are. Check OU webpage and you will see you can book connections via MUC.
