NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia has announced an increase in the number of weekly flights between Belgrade and New York this coming winter season. The carrier plans to maintain three instead of the usual two weekly rotations. Services will run each Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Furthermore, the airline has confirmed its Chicago operations will be launched in April 2023. “The addition of another weekly flight to New York during the winter season is a clear indicator that our flights over the Atlantic are performing well and that it represents one of Air Serbia’s strongest routes. In addition to that, we have been planning the introduction of nonstop flights between Belgrade and Chicago for a long time now. It is a city with one of the biggest diasporas from Serbia and other countries in the region, and, for us, it is a route of exceptional strategic importance. We anticipate significant passenger demand for the new flights with Chicago as their final destination, as well as those using the city as a layover for further travel”, Air Serbia’s General Manager for Commercial and Strategy, Boško Rupić, said. Since launching operations to New York in June 2016, until May 2022, the Serbian carrier handled 383.324 passengers on the route.

LET’S GO! When is the official announcement anticipated, along with ticket sales and all that? Will they do a media announcement type of thing on YouTube like with JFK?
