Sarajevo Airport begins apron expansion

Sarajevo Airport has launched the first phase of its project aimed at expanding the 38.000-square-metre apron. The airport will add an extra four aircraft parking positions, for a total of eleven, all of which will have the ability to handle aircraft such as the Airbus A321 and the Boeing 737-800. The project will increase Sarajevo’s handling capacity by 60%. It will be accompanied by extensive work on its electrical installations and sewerage. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year and complement’s ongoing work on the expansion of the airport’s terminal.

    I'm not sure if there wil be four or three new parking positions, but the chances are that there will be three. Also, parking position one will be reconstructed in the phase 3. All the work is supposed to be finished in December.

      There will be four new parking spaces, and one parking space that already exists will be renovated. You have everything on the Sarajevo International Airport page on Facebook
