NEWS FLASH

British Airways will restore winter operations between London Gatwick and Dubrovnik following an almost three-year hiatus caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The winter service is set to resume on December 5 and run twice per week until the end of the season in late March. Flights will be maintained on Mondays and Fridays with the Airbus A320-family aircraft. The airline will utilise a split-schedule with an early morning departure from Gatwick on Mondays, and an afternoon slot on Fridays. Tickets for the flights are now available for purchase.

Excellent news! I'm just hoping they sort out their staffing shortages by then and stick to this plan.

Why not LJU? Any excuses for Fraport fanboys?

I think it's quite the opposite: from what I see Slovenians are terribly quick to bash their own country, despite it doing pretty well (absent certain [better] flight connections, of course).

So when I say the truth that LJU has the worst air connectivity in whole Europe and that Fraport is doing nothing about it, I'm bashing my own country?

Of course @An.11.45. I am doing the same, bashing my country, speaking loudly sad truth about Croatia Airlines. I've been even called out to hate everything croatian. But I am happy I am not seeing things as seen by rigid nationalists and chauvinists. You should be happy about it, too

Slovenia doing well is an outdated stereotype from the 1990s .

I guess they are already fine with people AirSerbia transports that then connect to their flights. 0 costs form them and money is coming anyway.
With own flights they would target connectios mostly anyway.
But nevertheless, I find it wired indeed.

It is a logic move. Brits are most numerous tourists in Dubrovnik through the year, plus Expats and home owners traveling frequently between Dubrovnik and UK.

I doubt it. These flights were added to the system just 2 days ago.
