NEWS FLASH

Air Montenegro today handled its 300.000th passenger of the year following a successful summer season. The traveller was registered this morning on the carrier’s service between Podgorica and Ljubljana. “During the year, the Montenegrin national carrier has put a lot of effort in opening new markets to Montenegro and better positioning the country both in Europe and the region. We are delighted that 300.000 passengers have chosen to travel with us since January and that the numbers keep rising”, the company said in a statement. Air Montenegro is currently drafting its 2023 summer season network which will include five new routes.

Not a bad result at all. In 2019 Montenegro Airlines had 600,000 passengers. Taking into consideration Covid, that Montenegrins couldn't travel to most of Europe during the first quarter and that Air Montenegro is a new airline, this is a great result.

And especially since they have no codeshares and can't sell connecting tickets.

Impressive results for just a very short time. Let's hope we see the return of Lisbon.

Even if I am Slovenian, I can say you that MBX will never get flights, because this airport is absolutely a mess!
