NEWS FLASH

The Croatian government is looking to sell its remaining 38.5% ownership stake in Brač Airport and has hired equity valuation consultants. The state is expected to announce its withdrawal from the airport’s ownership structure early next year and put its minority stake on sale through a public call. The majority shareholder, Sunce Hotels, with a 50.2% stake, is likely to snap up the government’s shares. Sunce Hotels is owned by the United Arab Emirates’ Eagle Hills Real Estate. Brač Airport handled 15.251 passengers during the first three quarters of the year.

Šteta što nema više letova sedmično. Mnogi bi otišli na par dana ili vikend.

Interestingly Eagle Hills is the same UAE company that runs and owns the Belgrade Waterfront project.

This airport is not doing anything for ages... It should be either closed and given back to nature (better option) or turned around to start bringing business (still an option, but...). Long time ago I have tried to introduce a number of routes with selected airlines for smaller planes (ATR and Dash) for both scheduled and charter business doing the business plan for each route, but nobody on the island was interested in this, not even the airport itself, not even the Bluseun Hotels that owns several hotels in Bol (and the airport). It was... bizarre... total waste of time

why don't you try it now, when it comes to the new management and the new owner of Blusan Hotel, I'm sure they would support you in that, contact Mrs. Petri Bonacic Sargo, and if your plans are serious, she will surely find a way to help you with that.
