NEWS FLASH

The Moroccan National Tourism Office has said they are working on establishing flights to Belgrade. Previous attempts to do so were stalled by the coronavirus pandemic. Speaking to the “Cord” magazine, the head of the Moroccan Tourism Office, Adel El Fakir, said, “The Moroccan National Tourism Office is working with Serbian tour operators to establish offers to increase the sale of Moroccan destinations. We are also working to improve air connectivity between the two countries, as well as scheduling charter flights to Morocco”. He added, “In terms of air connectivity, we are focusing on the establishment of nonstop flights between Serbia and Morocco, in order to increase the number of tourists. I can already tell you that negotiations are underway with several airlines”.

This would be very welcome to have flights but the visa regime between the two countries needs to be abolished first.

Very surprised about the visa regime. For a poor country like Morocco that also depends on tourism....

Unfortunately they seem to be loosing the forest for one tree .. they like still to charge 75USD for a tourist visa while on the other hand a more liberal visa regime would bring in much greater revenues. And their visa process is not that easy either.

Unbelievable. It seems to be applicable for all ex-Yu except Slovenia and Croatia and Albania, though. Still unfair.

Good news. I've been waiting to visit Morocco for a long time as I rarely do connecting flights.

Depending on timing of flights, it could provide additional North America connections (RAM flies to YUL, JFK, IAD, and MIA).

Not all LCC since the main one like Ryanair, Wizz or Easyjet are based in Europe and can't fly between two non-EU countries.

It’s the same as Wizz who has a base in BEG and SKP for example but can’t fly to TLV for example or to Ukraine because these are simply not inside of the EU
