Georgia’s Camex sets up Slovenian carrier

NEWS FLASH

Georgian cargo carrier Camex Airlines has concluded the latest phase in the expansion of its international portfolio by establishing a new airline in Slovenia. Named Camex Adria Airlines, the subsidiary is expected to launch operations in April 2023, as soon as it is granted a Slovenian Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC). “The pre-application meeting with the Slovenian Civil Aviation Authority has been held and the AOC application package was submitted in November 2022”, Camex said. Camex Adria will take delivery of a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, previously operated by Fly Egypt with the registration SU-TMI, which has since been converted into a freighter jet and is being leased from Icelease. CAMEX provides adhoc and ACMI cargo services. Its Georgian unit launched flights last year.

Good luck to them, I wonder if they'll operate scheduled flights from Lju to somewhere, replacing ALS or maybe SprintAir

Maybe they'll also establish a whole Airbus fleet in MBX just like the chinese company previously

The thing with CAMEX is that they are actually spending real money and that they are in business for more than 15 years...compared to the chinese company which had absurd plans without any backing

But even the chinese story is ok, what is not ok is that not even a single person at the competent ministry had doubts about their storytelling. They literally thought big freighters will use MBX as a cargo hub 😂😂😂 thats why they needed a longer runway :) people say that at the court you dont need to tell the thruth as long as your story is at least viable, on the other side, ministries believe every crap as long as they can make short term political gains - even if the plan is not feasible or even probable. #undercapacitated

  3. I apologize in advance, but I can't help writing the following : Soon after Adria was renamed to Inex Adria one of the worst air collisions/crashes ever happened above city of Vrbovec killing all passengers of British Airways and Inex Adria. Vrbovec was and still is home of one of the biggest meat processing plants, PIK Vrbovec, and one line of their meat products was called Carnex. Of course, our witty people instantly renamed Inex Adria to Carnex Adria.I apologize once again for telling this "black humour" story, but whenever I read Camex Adria I recall Carnex Adria. It resembles too too too much. And I am not too happy about the name they chose

Camex is company that's operating for more than 15 years... I'm 100% sure that they don't know about Carnex at all

    2. Yes, Camex exists and operates for a long time, and Camex only recalls nothing, but in combination with Adria, it automatically becomes Carnex Adria.
