Zagreb Airport registered its third busiest year on record in 2022 by handling 3.124.605 passengers. The figure represents an increase of 122.5% on the year before but is down 9.1% on the pre-pandemic 2019. The airport’s recovery rate during 2022 is above the European industry average and outperformed the airport’s earlier estimates it would handle some three million travellers during the year. The number of aircraft movements stood at 42.310 during the year.

So, ZAG manged to still maintain 2nd exYU position. With 9 Croatian airports, the results are absolutely fantastic.

Their results would have been absolutely fantastic if they had flag carrier based there developing network, growing, working in sinergy with its hub airport, and making it proper hub with much much more transfer passengers. This result, I would call rather almost satisfactory, definitely not fantastic, and btw not blaming ZAG for it, but OU

Prediction for 2023: ~3.6 million passengers.
I flew into Zagreb in December, airport was unusually busy, with 4-5 flights arriving in spate of 30 min I was at the airport. Only one luggage carousel worked, out of 4, No 4 carousel wasn't installed yet, so there's a gap between 3rd and 5th luggage carousel, my flight in and out of Zagreb was full, with only 6 seats in a business class unoccupied. Airline I flew with, spoke to their captain asking him if this is usual load, he replied yes and then I asked double daily soon? He replied most likely. Due to privacy concerns won't disclose airline or location where I flew from.

Of course, captains are usually in their spare time network development managers, and yes, they regularly speak to most of their passengers, in flight of course LOL

Hahahahahahahaha Kradeze at its best 😃😃😃 Let's call from Cacak and Uzice anyone talking about our theft, or anyone not applauding us no matter which lie we say! 😃 But, unfortunatelly for you, no one takes you for serious any more, except maybe in villages in Lika and Zagora. And I didn't write what I think, but the facts how airlines and crews function. And I couldn't care less as well about you calling me repeatedly from Cacak and Uzice as it only shows how helpless and pathetic you are

Does ZAG have potential to add 500k passengers this year? If so, is it mostly from Ryanair?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Anonymous22:47

500 k is maybe too much but they will for sure reach over 200 k and probably over 250k next year.

Doubt it. I think the best case scenario is slightly surpassing 2019. result with ~ 3.45 - 3.5 mill. passengers, adding 330 - 350k.
