NEWS FLASH

Split Airport expects to replicate its success from the pre-pandemic 2019 and handle 3.3 million passengers this year. During the first two months of 2023, the airport welcomed 62.404 travellers, up 55.7% on last year but still down 12.3% on the same period in 2019. “A total of 52 carriers will provide flights to 89 destinations this summer. Further growth is expected in the most important markets such as Germany, Great Britain, France, Croatia, the Netherlands, Sweden, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Spain and Poland”, Split Airport said. It added, “The capacities offered will serve Central Dalmatia’s tourism industry by encouraging and motivating the sector to plan and design the upcoming summer season as meaningfully as possible. In 2023, the total passenger numbers are expected to reach the level of the record year in 2019, when Split Airport registered 3.3 million travellers”.
