Zagreb Airport saw its busiest February ever by handling 208.469 passengers, representing an increase of 40.1% on last year and up 13.2% on its previous best result set in 2020. During the first two months of the year, the airport welcomed 430.216 travellers through its doors, an improvement of 11.1% on the pre-pandemic start to 2020. Zagreb Airport recently said, “By the end of the 2022/23 winter season, we expect continual growth due to solid demand and a return to pre-pandemic capacity levels by most airlines. Our network currently counts 22 airlines which link Zagreb to 59 destinations, which is a record for the airport”.
So this year the biggest race will be between JU and ZAG.
ReplyDeleteLiterally. Last year, Air Serbia had more passengers for a couple of months than the entire ZAG. I remember that one "Analitičar" wrote that it was because of the charter flights in July. Now there are no charters, so they have almost the same number of passengers.

DeleteOnly someone whose World ends in Graz and who has absolutely no idea how the World out of his own borders looks like and functions, and who is not aware of the position on the list of the european airports by passengers numbers, can call these numbers fantastic, despite being the best ever, actually especially being the best ever
DeleteThese numbers are solid, especially given the fact we're technically back in 2020. and yet with better numbers. In two out of three worst months in a year...the third one being November.
ReplyDeleteIf this continues and the next thing isn't an asteroid hitting Earth, ZAG should easily reach 3.7 - 3.8 mill. passengers this year.
