Air Serbia to run regular Mersa Matruh charters

NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia will operate a regular weekly charter service between Belgrade and the Egyptian city of Mersa Matruh for the first time. Unlike most Egyptian holiday resort towns, Mersa Matruh is located on the country’s Mediterranean coast and has become increasingly popular over the past year due to its soft white sand beaches and transparent waters. Air Serbia will run the service from Belgrade each Saturday, from June 17 until September 9. It will complement the carrier’s charter operations from the Serbian capital to Hurghada and Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt, as well as its scheduled three weekly service to Cairo, which will be restored next Monday following a hiatus of over three years. The airline will also run charters from Niš to Hurghada.

As a service it's the same, even cheaper, it's full of locals! But the beaches are unique, not fake like in the south.

After Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, and now this Egyptian destination, I think it will be the turn of Zanzibar or Mombasa. It would also be interesting to see charters to Madeira or the Canary Islands!
