Aircraft on Croatia PSO flight in runway excursion

NEWS FLASH

A Sprint Air Saab 340 aircraft operating a Public Service Obligation flight between Zagreb and Osijek on behalf of Trade Air was involved in a runway excursion at Osijek Airport on Sunday night. The turboprop plane, carrying one passenger and three crew members, veered off the runway upon landing in Osijek at low speed after it experienced a technical issue with the braking system. “There were no casualties nor visible damage on the aircraft. Sprint Air’s technical support is working on understanding facts which contributed to this technical failure in order to remove it completely for future flights”, Trade Air said in a statement.

"The turboprop plane, carrying one passenger and three crew members", thank god no one is using the flights otherwise someone could get injured lol.

But for real...does anyone know why the larger plane is needed? Are the costal routes full?

The sector back to Osijek is always empty. This is just a ferry flight to return the aircraft to Osijek where it is based.

TradeAir probably finances the fleet expansion solely with PSO money

    2. No, Bravo for Jasmin who codeshares on Osijek and Trade Air for one passenger, but is not allowed to do it on United to Newark, otherways Mutti would be angry and gazda Ivan might be put in uncomfortable position

    4. It has everything to do with this news. Shows the levels of their competence and boundaries of their servantship. Unless you think Trade Air flies with their codeshares without their consent and "won PSO tender on the open market" LOL

Nope, it has nothing to do with it. It was a serious incident where people could've easily got injured or even worse, yet you still found a way to poison the comment section with your blabbering

For me it's quite funny that an almost empty plane(+It's a SAAB) overran a 2500m runway. Even a fully loaded A350 could have easily landed or taken off with that much runway.
