NEWS FLASH

Norwegian Air Shuttle commenced seasonal flights between Oslo and Skopje last week, marking its entry onto the Macedonian market. The service will be maintained twice per week until August 18. Norwegian Air Shuttle’s Chief Commercial Officer, Magnus Thome Maursund, said, “We are pleased to be present in Skopje and look forward to welcoming new passengers on board. Oslo has historic sites, situated by the fjord, and is a popular destination for many tourists. We also look forward to flying many Norwegians to Skopje here in beautiful North Macedonia this summer”. The General Manager of airport operator TAV Macedonia, Nejat Kurt, noted, “As TAV, we are excited to welcome and celebrate Norwegian’s entry onto the Macedonian market, from Norway’s cosmopolitan hub of Oslo to Skopje. Norwegian will fly to Skopje Airport for the first time, creating another opportunity for Macedonians to get to Oslo and visit the land of the beautiful fjords and northern lights. We are happy that the airline started its operations and we look forward to a long-term and successful cooperation and many happy and satisfied passengers”. Norwegian faces no direct competition on the route, however, indirectly, Wizz Air serves Sandefjord twice per week, which is some 120 kilometres from Oslo’s main Gardermoen Airport.

There are some comments that they might extend the route since their flights are full

Of course they will be full, as Wizz Air flies to Torp which is far away from the city. Norwegian can even launch Helsinki - Skopje during the summer.

maybe ARN and HEL too, even seasonal.

Its bizzare that SKP has no ARN flights, they have flights to every other swedish airport it seems :D

Norwegian in the first place (in analogy with OSL), I dont count on Eurowings or Ryanair :)

FR runs year round ARN flights to iNI but I guess SKP doesnt give them the discounts they want from them
