Uzbekistan Airways has launched regular charter flights between Tashkent and Tivat. Services will be maintained once per week, each Thursday, until the end of the winter season in late October. The carrier is utilising its new 188-seat A321LR aircraft on the route. “Airports of Montenegro are delighted with the introduction of these flights. This nonstop service from Uzbekistan brings our country closer to tourists from this Asian market, which is good news for the Montenegrin economy. We are also happy to have opened the doors to this fascinating country to Montenegrin travellers”, the member of the Board of Directors of operator Airports of Montenegro, Slavko Vukčević, said. Tickets are only available for purchase through tour operators. Uzbekistan is the second Central Asian republic to be linked with either a seasonal or charter service to Montenegro, with the other being Kazakhstan.
And of course tha majority of the pax are Russians .
ReplyDeleteAnd why not ?! Uzbekistan Airways has many, many flights to Russia - even to more exotic places like Irkutsk . Remember Air Astana flights to CG last year ?
Air Astana despite being national airline of Kazakhstan belongs to a british defense company and is forbidden to fly into Russia by its owners .
How many opportunities went lost by that . But everybody who knows Uzbekistan and its people will not be surprised by them . They are excellent traders and know a good deal when there is one !
Well, Russians are finding more and more new ways of reaching the restricted areas in Europe. The latest spot is definitely via Yerevan. MNE should definitely consider flights there as well. Yerevan is opening up as an airport quite a lot.

Of course not. The member of the board is just talking nonsense. Tickets are sold through Uzbek tour operators for packages to Montenegro.
DeleteIt's amazing how central Asian countries are buying planes and developing new routes and seem to be doing more than the ex yu nations. Literally more than any slavic nation with the exception of Poland and Air Serbia. But even then Turkmenistan has a better fleet than Air Serbia.

DeleteWhy are there suddenly so many flights from these countries? For Kazakhstan - well, they are the European country to some extent, but the others are starting new flights from countries like Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and other European destinations like Montenegro
