NEWS FLASH

Jazeera Airways has cut short its planned operations between Kuwait City and Belgrade, which were launched on a seasonal basis this summer. The low cost carrier plans to operate its last service of the year on the route on September 1. Initially, the carrier intended to end its two weekly operations on September 22. The flights have been primarily marketed at Russian transfer passengers.

The fares are quite reasonable, but I guess that people don't want to spend that much time flying and transfering...

With couple of JUs flight and many JU/TK options for transfer to Russia daily, this didn't make much sense.

Direct in English means one stop in aviation terminology. Nonstop means without a single stop. Although, even many airlines don't know the difference in this English terminology.

No demand there. Sadly the Middle East destinations apart from big hubs like DOH AUH or DXB are difficult out of BEG.

Strange logic, tbh. It is more logic for Russians to fly into BEG via EVN or TBS than KWI.
Also, it might make more sense to try RUH or JED as they are getting more popular.

There are no direct flights between BEG and aforementioned cities. There are plenty of flights to IST and other Turkish cities though.

As you can see there is no demand so no Air Serbia in KWI.

^ what makes you think that another airline wouldn't have more success? KWI is the busiest unnerved market in the Gulf from BEG. Also what makes you think they won't resume flights next summer? While I understand you are excited that they reduced flights by 2 weeks, you might want to wait.

Not only JAT had flights to KWI but Kuwait Airways operated to BEG on B707. But at that time Yugoslavia was market of 22 million people, leading country of non-aligned movement, and had construction companies which built half of Asia and Africa

Obviously demand isn't as big if they struggled to make this route work. Also I think one mistake they made is that they did not start with good times which would offer connections to Dubai.

TK is happy about this because they carried most of this traffic. Back to IST guys.

20:53 I totally agree, with some fair price and connections Air Serbia could have success with Kuwait not only during summer season. Just before Air Serbia was formed JAT had Kuwait route. In addition, JU should have at least one Gulf route.

You don't like direct Airserbia flights? Transfer in Istanbul is too much for you? No worry, we've got you covered! Fly lowcoster for 4 hours to Kuwait, and 5 hours more after that!
