NEWS FLASH

Low cost carrier Ryanair will be adding an additional flights to seven of its routes out of Zagreb during the upcoming 2023/24 winter season, when compared to the previous one. The airline will introduce an additional two weekly flights for a total of four to both Malaga and Malta, as well as an extra service to Dublin, for a total of four. Basel, Beauvais, Gothenburg and Memmingen will all be operated three instead of two weekly. In addition, as recently reported, the carrier is adding a new weekly service between Zagreb and Lanzarote. The growth in frequencies does not refer to the two-week Christmas holiday period, when the majority of Ryanair’s destinations out of Zagreb will see additional flights to cater for increased demand. Unlike last winter, the budget carrier will no longer be serving Dortmund, Manchester, Sofia and Podgorica out of the Croatian capital. The only route to have sustained a cut in frequencies compared to last winter is Bergamo, which will be operated four instead of five times per week. The 2023/24 winter season begins on October 29.

I think these increases exactly substitute the discontinued route.

These increases do not, but these increases together with the increases from a few weeks ago do. Once you add in the Christmas period increases, the actual number of flights is higher than it was last year's winter season. But not by much.

I really hope they introduce additional daily flights at least on selected days to Stansted. The fares are quite high.

Actually average fares are higher for Dublin-Zagreb and Malaga-Zagreb than Stansted-Zagreb.

I'd like to see additional flights throughout the year, not just two weeks over Christmas holidays.

But I don't understand why they don't have flight Stockholm Zagreb. They boost Göteborg but one huge part off that is from 400km radius. And that radius is not including Stockholm. Zagreb Stockholm doesnt have direct flights last three years from covid time so disappointing.
