This is well above 8 mil. December will be at least 15% stronger than November

Hopefully! But if we think about the next 4 years we are going to break 15 million (with Expo 2027) and annually growth of 20%

    4. Anonymous23:36

Unbelievable, 8 mil. pax from 2019 6.16 mil. Nearly 2 mil. pax. Lets see in next 5 years where are FR and W6 directly competing for markets since both airlines are expecting new 100 mil. pax.

December will be busy with holidays in addition to regular travel. I thought ~7.9 possibly last month, but didn’t expect 600K for this month! The overall result will be just under 8.1 for the year.

8 milion this year for sure!!! December will be stronger so about 700.000 :)

Wizz LF is probably close to 90% so it is not far from 177k

I honestly don't know how they do it but overall most of their routes from BEG seem to be full to the last seat. What's even more impressive is that they manage that with minimal marketing.

    4. Anonymous22:45

They've been on the market long enough that their brand is strong enough.

    5. Exactly, when you're flying to Europe it's only natural to check with AS and Wizz first.

What do you think about 2024 at BEG? Can I assume 100% 8.5 will be achievable.

      Aren't you exaggerating?😁😁😁 I hope you're right.🙏✈️😉

    4. Well, as I can see, they had more than 30% growth this year and Air Sebia as a main contributor sounds equally ambitious about 2023, so with a little luck I don't see why 20% wouldn't be achievable and that is 9.5 million pax.

    5. Nemjee09:36

It's not sustainable to keep on growing 30% per year. Growth needs to slow down so that the market adjusts. Air Serbia needs to consolidate its position in existing markets. I am saying that they should because we don't know if they will.

    6. Marek said they plan to continue growing 10%-20% per year, which seems a bit more managable than 30%, giving them some space for consolidation too and I do agree with him that they should do their best to profit from the current market growth. Problem that after 2-3 years we'll need a new terminal.

Growth of 10% on a yearly basis is very good, they are no longer that small so the base value is not negligible. With 4 million passengers so far, 10% growth would come to 4.4 million next year in the first 11 months.

Both the livery and the name are a copy of the re-branded Helios from Cyprus.

After their 2005 crash Helios became Ajet and their livery was similar to the Turkish one.

Awesome results just like Air Serbia, both ahead od predictions. Congratulatons.

Renovations of the passenger areas of the terminal are not looking ready for opening this year. Moving goalpost to the end of Q1 2024, more than five years since takeover.

With 40% growth in December they are reaching 7,977,000.

For 8 million they need 45% growth to last year

  11. And finally a normal bus connection to Belgrade is available. A1 from Slavija, 600 from main railway station, 607 from Banovo Brdo and 860i from Belgrade Waterfront.

I'm just hoping they fix the taxi situation, it was in shambles half a year ago.

Taxis functioning normally now. There is now a taxi stand in arrivals (level -1), taxis are called up by the dispatcher, all are licensed because they can't pass the ramp to get in if they are not but you need to get a vouccher at the stand to use the taxis, taxi won't drive you otherwise.

Fantastic growth Belgrade! One example of a regular winter widebody Saturday Dec 16 morning at BEG:

Hainan A330-300 arriving from PEK around 7:00am
Air Serbia A330-200 departing to ORD around 7:30am
My Freighter 747-200 arriving from TAS around 9:00am
Air Serbia A330-200 arriving from JFK around 10:00am

It's a shame that Hainan once again requested slots for third weekly PEK-BEG but in the end they decided against it. They did the same this summer. Hopefully in 2024 they go ahead with the 3rd weekly. Demand is definitely there.

If JU had that 4th wide body the numbers would have been significantly higher.

  14. Anonymous14:50

Interesting: Air Serbia had just 48.5% of pax BEG airport in November (298322pax). Anyway, congratulations to both (JU and BEG) for 40% improvement. It is really respectable result.
