Greek carrier Lumiwings has scheduled the introduction of flights between Tuzla and Istanbul after being granted permits to launch operations between the two cities. The service, which will be subsidised by local authorities in Tuzla, will commence on March 5 and run twice per week, each Tuesday and Sunday, with the Boeing 737-700 aircraft. It becomes the airline’s sixth route out of Tuzla after it launched operations from the city to Esbjerg, Halmstad, Maastricht, Saarbrucken, and Stockholm Skavsta last December. It marks the first time Tuzla has been linked to Istanbul with a scheduled air service. Further flight details can be found here. As of March, Lumiwings will boast twelve weekly departures from Tuzla, offering a total of 1.788 outbound seats. Tickets for the new Istanbul flights are now available for purchase through the airline’s website.
How's the LF overall? Apparently is below 20% on some flights
ReplyDeleteAverage load factor for Tuzla was 70% in January. This is for Wizzair and Lumiwings together. There is unfortunately no information available for exclusive Lumiwings or Wizzair. And also no data fot particular destinations

Delete@11:35 The load factor is quite good for January which is one of the slowest month is aviation industry. Last year JU han an load factor of 71% in the first quater and it was their record since 2013. However the Lumiwings flights are not enough to cover the loss of the W6 and Raynair flights. Last year Tuzla had 58k passengers in January, this year only 19k unfortuantly.
DeleteFrequencies are still quite low of Lumiwngs and the planes are a bit smaller(149 seats). I think that Istanbul is gonna perfrom well at Tuzla and hope there will be new flights.
This LF is the combined total which includes Wizz Air. January is certainly not the slowest month in the aviation industry and most certainly not for Tuzla whose traffic relies 100% on diaspora which travels during January holiday period. February will be the disaster month.

ReplyDelete12 weekly departures were the number of departures Wizz had for two days. I really hope they return to Tuzla one day with a base.
