NEWS FLASH

A twelve-year-old boy has been identified for making false bomb threats targeting Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport and several schools in the Serbian capital. The child was behind the events which saw the airport temporarily close on February 29 after he made a threat against an Air Montenegro flight, as well as a Wizz Air flight headed to Barcelona, which was on its final departure run and was forced to evacuate on the taxiway, deploying emergency slides as stairs were unable to reach the jet. He continued with threats against another two flights on March 1. As the boy is under fourteen years old and cannot face prosecution under Serbian law, his parents will face criminal charges under the suspicion that they have committed the offense of neglecting or abusing a minor. The boy also sent the threats, via email, to four primary schools and the Ministry for Education, Science and Technological Development. The minor was identified by police earlier this month and charges against his parents filed. The financial damage of his actions is estimated in the millions. In 2022 and 2023, Belgrade Airport and Air Serbia were the target of numerous false bomb threats on an almost daily basis for a protracted period. The culprits of those threats were later arrested across several countries.

Congrats to the police. More and more such maniacs will step up and they must be kept under control. We have, unfortunately, learned that being a minor does not prevent you to be a dangerous lunatic ...

Congrats in which sense? That a 12 year can outsmart them and create havoc?

^ and you suggest they have a fortuneteller tell them a kid will send a bomb threat so they can act before he does?

Anon 13:56, calm down, he did not outsmart them, they tracked him down, obviously. You cannot prevent anyone in sending emails, but you can try to identify criminals, and police did it OK this time…

Well first and foremost the child needs a psychiatric evaluation and then a decision to be made if he should be institutionalized.

We're looking at a future criminal and no one can do anything about it. Great.
The boy is obviously a psycho who needs professional help.

Kid is now on the watchlist. What an embarrassment for a teenager knowing all his comminucations are being closely monitored.

Who cares about his embarrassment at having his communications monitored. He disrupted thousands of people in their daily lives, and caused millions of Euros on damages. He is a sociopath and criminal.

Hopefully the full power of the state and justice system is brought against this psychopath and his parents.

This person will NEVER be a positive member of society. Their entire life they will cause harm to society and people around them.

The parents are equally to blame. It's clear that they never taught or demonstrated true values.

Yes, full power to the kid, and no power for the organized crime. Little dog, big dog meme.
